A squad of 14 made the short trip over to Aylsham for the League Cup Final , a beautiful sunny day and playing on the senior pitch ..

This was always going to be an extremely tough game against champions elect Gorleston, the message before ko was to enjoy the occasion, to give it everything you have and that whatever happens happens ..

We got off to the worst start , 1 down after 5 minutes shortly followed by a second . Mistakes being ruthlessly punished by a high quality opposition. We were hardly getting out of our half so no surprise when numbers 3 and 4 came before half time , my worst fears were coming true , I was desperate for the girls not to get heavily beaten . Quick half time chat with a message of winning the second half , working much harder and cutting out the errors . 

Second half was a huge improvement, our work rate improved , mistakes cut down to a minimum, better control of the ball . We created very little but defensively we were much more solid reducing Gorleston to fewer opportunities. No more goals scored so a final score of 4-0 Gorleston ..

The best team won, no doubt about that . The Panthers had done extremely well to get to the final , a big achievement that many other clubs would have gladly replicated . Second half much much better so the girls can be proud of that , we kept the scoreline respectable and left with our heads held high ..Well played Panthers
