Wildcats' new era begins with a draw
The Wildcats were at home today against Cromer Panthers under new Coach - and Bure Valley ladies player - Rosie.
It was my first game with the girls today as their new coach and it was a pleasure!
All the girls worked their socks off and showed some great team work. Margot made some excellent saves today and quick-decision making, closing the ball down whenever a Cromer player got close to goal. We had Jasmine and Betsy as our super defenders keeping Cromer out of our box, some fantastic clearances from you both well done! Our midfielders, Isabelle, Guinevere, Florence, Emilia and Martha played some great football, all working together on the pitch to try and get the ball to the other end and in the net. Some great passes and dribbling seen today! Unfortunately in the second quarter Cromer took the lead with a high shot from outside the box. However in the third quarter we equalised with an outstanding corner kick from Emilia which went straight in the goal!! The game finished 1-1.
Opposition player of the match was awarded to Guinevere who tracked down every player and made it very difficult for Cromer to get through!
Coaches player was awarded to Martha for her great determination today with some fantastic footwork and dribbling around players!
Parents player was awarded to Emilia who was strong, showed some great dribbling skills and of course her amazing goal!
Well done girls you have made my first game with you a dream and I can’t wait for the rest of the season!
