Development team continue winning streak
Today we welcomed Red Rose to Rectory Road hoping to keep our winning streak going.
We started with Freya in goal. A back four of Keira, Mae, Annie and Woody. Two holding midfielders Libby and Maisie G. Three attacking midfielders Becky, Victoria and Olivia with Rosie playing upfront. Our two game changers on the bench Catherine and making her ladies debut Zena. Zena being the latest youth player making the step up to ladies football proving that there is a pathway to adult football at Bure Valley.
We kicked off defending the school end and in the first minute Becky put in a cross that was cleared for a corner.
Two minutes later and Becky put in another cross that was claimed by the Red Rose goalkeeper.
We took the lead in the seventh minute.
VICTORIA collecting a Red Rose goal kick, getting past a defender before slotting home.
Five minutes after this a cross from Becky found Olivia, whose shot was well saved by the Red Rose goalie.
In the twentieth minute we deservedly doubled our lead. A sublime pass from Becky found ROSIE who scored with aplomb.
Before half time we had many more shots from Victoria, Olivia, Becky and Rosie which all went narrowly wide.

The second half kicked off and the half was ten minutes old when the ball was bobbling about the Red Rose penalty area before Rosie had a shot go inches wide.
Red Rose had increased their intensity and started to cause us a few problems.
On the hour mark Freya being well placed to save a free kick.
A minute later a Red Rose pass, cum shot hit the post with Freya beaten.
This was the wake up call our ladies needed and we started to get the ball down and play our style of football.
In the sixty fifth minute a great pass from Libby found Olivia whose shot was saved.
In the seventy sixth minute a corner from Olivia bounced up and MAE headed in at the back post. To make the score three nil to our ladies.
Four minutes after this and the move of the match saw us nearly scored again. A delightful one two between Olivia and Zena ended with Olivia's shot being saved.
Six minutes from time and a tremendous cross from Becky was headed powerfully home by the debutant ZENA.
